WARDENS ON WHEELS
THIRD ANNUAL ROAD TRIP
JUNE 10th, 11th, AND 12th, 2011
HELLO, Plans are under way for our third annual Wardens on Wheels Motorcycle Run.
Friday June 10th travel day to Stockton, MO to our house 18460 S. 39 Hwy .We live 5 miles south of Stockton, on 39 highway, on the west side of road. It is a tan 2-story house with a pond on the south side. We will have a sign posted at the driveway. We have two free bedrooms, one king and the other full size. Anyone is welcome to them. First call gets them. We have an old camper that has three beds in it. One queen and two single beds. The single beds are short only about 6 feet. However, it has air conditioning and will be available to anyone who wants to sleep there. We have 2 sofas and lots of floor space. We have lots of room to pitch a tent, if that is what you want to do. If you want a hotel here in town, there is Orleans Trail Resort (417) 276-3566, Stone Creek Lodge (417) 276-1700, and Owl Heaven (417) 276-4907. We will have dinner at our house on Friday night about 6:30pm if all goes well.
Saturday June 11th we will have breakfast and then travel to Eureka Springs, AK. It is only about 100 miles to Eureka and we should get there around lunchtime. Now, for the afternoon I have mapped out a ride that is about 150 miles that takes us around to some small towns in Arkansas with a few points of interest along the way. Eureka is a real motorcycle town and there are many different rides we can make. We will end up back at Eureka and can see the town or make our own entertainment back at the motel and campground. I have found Kettle Campground (800-899-2267) across from the Country Mountain Inn (800-626-7120). I have blocked some rooms for us so when you call them tell them it is for Wardens on Wheels. You must make motel reservations by May 25. Leslie and I are really looking forward to seeing everyone and doing our best to host this event and show everyone a good time.
