5^TH ANNUAL ROAD TRIP

JUNE 7^TH,  8^TH,  AND  9^TH, 2013

Plans have been finalized for the 5^th annual WOW road trip which will hereafter be known as:

                                                     THE DAM TRIP

Friday, June 7^th will be a travel day to the Ross house, which is located 1.3 miles west of Clinton on Hwy 18.  Go west until you see the signs.  We have plenty of camping space. (sorry, no travel trailer like Benny).  Motels in town are Parkfield Inn,  660-890 6188,  and  Hampton Inn, 660-885-4488.  There are others in town but we would not recommend them.  Corp of Engineers Sparrow Foot camp ground, 6 miles south of Clinton off of 13 Hwy.  We will leave from the Ross house for the Short Street Grill (known for their prime rib) in Montrose at approximately at 6:00 p.m.

Saturday, June 8^th we will meet at 7:00 a.m. at the McDonalds parking lot for breakfast, and then start our ride.  We will travel to Warsaw via Lincoln and stop at the Truman Information Center overlooking Truman Dam, then proceed to Pomme de Terre Lake and Dam.   From there we will go to Smith’s Berry Farm Restaurant in Collins for lunch.  After lunch we will go to Stockton Dam, and then we will continue back to Clinton for a BBQ, catered by Brown’s  BBQ of Clinton.

 June 9^th is travel day toward home.

T shirts will once again be available for approximately $16.00.  Please let me know by e-mail the number and size (no later than May 25^th).

Donis and I are looking forward to hosting this event.  Bennie and Lynn set a very high standard in 2012.

Lost Valley Hatchery near Warsaw, which is the largest fresh water hatchery in North  America  is open to the public.  If you are interested the number is 660-438-4465.
