2020 Cancelation

Unfortunately, Covid 19 is going to defeat the 14th Annual Wardens on Wheels rally.  I held on as long as possible, until it was announced that the border would not open, to make the decision.

Bill Schaller had suggested camping right at the Peace Gardens so I looked into that. If we had gone to the Peace Gardens from Canada and then passed up through customs we would have been subject to a 14 quarantine period.  That was not going to happen!

It's a sad day but I'm hopeful 2021 will allow us to resume the rally.

I'm sure that the museum, like every other store or business, is going through a tough financial time.  I hope the riders were still able to gather a few pledges, or if you haven't yet, will be able to go out and get some pledges to help out our museum.

I made arrangements to have a USA and Canadian officer gather our pledges and get them deposited into the Museum account.

As far as I know the Missouri rally is still a go for October.  If I hear otherwise I will let you know.

Everyone stay safe, look after their family and we will see you in 2021 at the 15th Annual Wardens on Wheels Rally!

Reservations

Doug Olson has spoken to Susan at Lake Metigoshe State Park and she has set aside the North Hill camping area for us again this year.  Please make your reservation by calling Susan at 701-263-4651and advise it's for the Wardens on Wheels.  The campground will be ours for the nights of August 6, 7 and 8.

The Quilt Inn only had a few rooms left for August 7 and 8 so I put a hold on them.  Anyone planning to stay there will have to call and book their room.
701-263-6500
They advised that after about July 7th any other rooms not reserved by other groups will become available, so hopefully we will all find a place to sleep.

Still hopeful the border will be open and we can get together and share a few Corona's or Miller Lights!

Updates

MISSOURI CHAPTER

The Missouri Chapter had asked for suggestions for their upcoming rally and the following is what Greg Hitchings has sent out:

We'll cancel the June dates and hope for October.  We'll plan on sending out another group email on or near September 1 to check what the interest is for having a ride this year.  Hopefully, things will turn around soon and we'll be able to enjoy a fall ride in the beautiful Eastern Ozarks.

Stay safe and enjoy riding when you can...

MUSEUM CHAPTER

As for the Museum Chapter, I'm still hoping that the border will be open, camping will be allowed and we can continue with the August 7-9 dates.  I was hoping to run up to Brandon for lunch on Saturday but we will have to monitor what will be open and allowed.

I'm including a pledge sheet so that we can try and help out the museum with some funding.  Their revenue from visitors will be impacted greatly, so lets try and raise some money and help them out.
