I've been waiting until the end of riding season, then the end of hunting season, to put up an update for the 2019, 13th Annual rally.
Sitting here tonight, I can see that it's -32°C outside.
I've boosted 4 vehicles in the last three days and it's supposed to be -41° tomorrow night.
Good time to stay inside and work on the computer.
At the rally this year we had 9 bikes and 10 riders attend. Thanks to the dedicated crew that showed up.
Friday night supper was at the Dockside and Saturday we rode to the Game Warden Museum for our meeting and Poker run. The plan was going to be to ride up into Manitoba for lunch but Mother Nature was going to make us wet if we did that.
We retreated to Bottineau for lunch and then met back at the campground.
I offered an extra poker card for anyone riding to Manitoba and bringing back their meal receipt but had no takers!
The Museum executive cooked supper for us again and provided snacks and beverages. Big thanks to Jonathan for all his work.
There were some very nice poker prizes that were won, food was eaten, drinks were drunk and we had lots of fun laughing and visiting around the fire.
We raised, through our pledges and donations, $1,235.00 this year.
That brings our running total to $26,540 that Wardens on Wheels has raised for the Game Warden museum!
Thanks folks and give yourselves a pat on the back!
August 8th weekend , 2020 will be the 14th Annual WOW rally.
We are going to try and advertise the event a little harder and try and get some new riders, or those that haven't been out for a while, to make plans to come to the rally.
